Mindful Emergence is a space dedicated to nourishing deep reflection, meeting/embracing the Self, wholly engaging with each moment, and forming meaningful, transformative connections.
We provide coaching services that assist with developing goals and approaches to accomplishing them that are both effective and in alignment with your authentic self/core values.
It is our hope that this work will not only facilitate improved experience and wellbeing for our clients, but also contribute to honoring and strengthening the overall fabric of human connection.

The American Psychological Association (APA) defines coaching as: “specialized instruction and training provided to enable individuals to acquire or enhance particular skills. . . or to improve performance.”

Although the differences between coaching and psychotherapy services can seem relatively minimal and nuanced, however understanding them is of crucial importance. As such, we recommend visiting our Coaching page for a more detailed answer; however, here is a brief summary of their differences for the purposes of this page:
1. The field of coaching is not regulated by a governing agency; as such, there are no formal education or training requirements, policies, or ethical/legal guidelines.
2. There is no diagnostic assessment or treatment in coaching.
3. Coaching work primarily focuses on the conscious material of the present to improve the future; psychotherapy, on the other hand, is more about looking into the past and the unconscious to illuminate the present.

Yes, we are pleased to offer sliding scale fees for clients in strenuous financial situations. However, sliding scale slots are limited and cannot be guaranteed. Please contact us at info@mindful-emergence.com for more information.

Mindful Emergence does not currently accommodate in-person sessions, as it is designed as a fully remote organization in order to provide the most access to our services to the most amount of people possible. However, we are always open to discussing alternative options for the right reasons; so please feel free to contact us with a request for an exception at info@mindful-emergence.com.

Unfortunately, coaching services are not typically covered services; as such, we do not bill insurance. However, if you have a policy that does offer coverage for coaching, we are happy to provide any documentation you may need to receive reimbursement from your insurance company.
A Note From Our Founder
Hello! I’m Akasha, Founder and Managing Member of Mindful Emergence, LLC (ME). I started this organization to create a place in this overwhelming world that anyone can step into for a safe, conscious journey into themselves. The modern world leaves little time, and even less energy, for processing all the material our systems see, interact with, integrate, etc. every single day. The most effective way to ensure that happens, I’ve found, is to designate consistent, intentional time until the pattern embeds itself into my natural flow. Since time and energy are limited and precious, they carry a sense of urgency and pressure to maximize results. ME is designed to hold that for you so your resources can be dedicated to the real work. Our Coaches spend their time and energy becoming as practiced, knowledgeable, and experienced in how to best navigate and support the journey of mindful emergence in order to help you do just that. It is my hope that the relationships developed between the ME team and our clients can facilitate such profound, expansive transformation that its healing ripples throughout the interconnected network of all existence.
